Oh Helen. Just read through the whole thread and sitting here with tears rolling down my cheeks. You have been so strong in dealing with a situation too awful to contemplate. Now you have your husband home and you can support each other; it may not seem like it now, but the pain will ease with time. Take comfort from the fact that Wylye had so much love and happiness in his short life; no-one could have done more for him.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss and pain. I lost my puppy Belle in November and I agree the support on here is amazing. My thoughts are with you while you grieve for your special boy and I'm sure the wonderful memories of him will soon shine through as he will forever be in your heart.
