Poor Charlie has got a huge hotspot on his face this morning - it wasn't there last night.
I've cleaned it with hibiscrub and when it's dry will put some flower of sulpher on it to dry it up.
Normally I would give it a day or two to see if it heals up (he's had 3 before) but as it's Christmas I think I'll take him to the vets for a shave and AB's as I don't want to end up needing the vet over the holidays - perfect timing Chas!!

Awww poor Charlie, don`t blame you for getting to the vet today, holiday charges will be horrendous, hope it clears up quickly, FOS is supposed to be very good for clearing them up.
Awwo Charlie me bionic puppy fwend, me opes yous otspot fing goes way quickly an you as a gud cwissmiss
It's a Horrible nasty sore that spreads unbelievably quickly. Looks wet and nasty. Dylan has had two both from scratching. it's also known as wet eczema
They really are horrible and you can almost see it grow.
He's had all one side of his face shaved poor boy but now the fur has gone it should heal quicker.
He's been given AB's and hydrocortisone to put on it.
I took a photo of the last hotspot he had but it disappeared when the albums went. I'll have a look on some old discs and see if I can find it to show you what it looked like before treatment
ok here's a pic of the last hotspot (wet eczema) he had on his face, and it's pretty much the same this time (other side though).
I don't know why some dogs are prone to them and others aren't - this is Charlie's 4th now (2 on his face and 2 on his tail). Dudley has never had one <touches wood frantically>
