Can't believe it has been a year since we took little Milly home to "foster over Christmas". We knew we wouldn't be taking her back to the rescue centre really.

Something happened today which made me think, "Yes, she definitely IS settled here". She hates rain....even with her brand new raincoat on. It was way too rainy for her this morning and she did a bit of a Forest Gump impression. As she ran to catch a ball she just carried on running off the field, and out of the kissing gate Shocked Shocked Shocked

Horrified, I legged it after her but she was too quick. I had a vague hope that she had gone home. So that was my first stop.....and there she was, shivering in the front garden waiting for us to open the front door. When she saw us she started pirouhetting on the lawn like a circus dog. I didn't have the heart to scold her, besides, if she's going to run away from me (not that she makes a habit of it, only in extreme circumstances) I would prefer it that she runs home rather than anywhere else.

And can I take this opportunity to thank everyone for their "get well" vibes for her a few months ago. On a recent check-up the vet divulged that she had been "very sick indeed" and gave me the look. Yes, the antibiotics and round-the-clock care had a little something to do with her super-fab recovery but I reckon the LF vibes did most of the work. Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou!

Happy 1st Gotcha Day to the Marvellous Milly!! She is trying her best to train you to stay at home on rainy days - you are a VERY SLOW learner obviously!!! Wink

I LOVE her ears! What a lucky girl she was to find a fantastic failure of a fosterer! Very Happy
