Can anybody help me find an answere, my 3year and 7month old Labrador died from sudden death at 3.30am 14/11/11. she was herself the day before and she suffered from enviromental allergies which she was on Desencertising injections for other than that she was such a treasure. And missed so much I keep wondering if she has an underlying problem that was missed.

So sorry to read this, 3.5 years is so young.

Very few things kill without warning. As Dylan-dogg said, heart is the most likely. There are a few poisons which can, but they are so unlikely that really, you can forget about them. Either way, it's doubtful if either the allergies or the desensitising would have contributed in any way.

Were there any signs on the lead up? Sickness, feverish, cough?

Regards, John

Very sorry to hear this and that you have been left with so many questions unanswered.

I expect your vet said it was 'sudden death'.

I think you will have to painfully try to accept that Summer has gone and that it was not your or anybody's fault. Clearly you had been trying to help her with her allergies and perhaps no-one can explain why she died so tragically young.

I really feel for you and I hope that you will gradually be able to accept your loss and to feel less confused, I know I would feel the same as you and want to look for answers. At least you've found this forum.

Run free Summer.
