Kellys bed is now getting well worn & I think it is now time to buy a new one. Could anyone recommend a quality bed for my soft chocolate Lab?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Oh there are some good bargains out there at the moment Very Happy from tough old gundoggery Jill Wink .

I bought my lot three of these fluffy ones recently:

http://www.hyperdrug.co.uk/Yap-Dog-Fabriano-Oval-Bed-30-approx/productinfo/FABRIANO30/

I actually put them in the plastic beds that I have and my lot love them. They go in the washing machine too.

Or, of course, there are the Zippy beds of which I also have three.

And they still lie all over the sofa's lol.

ooo I like the look of that bed Jill.
Dudley has a zippy bed which he's had for over 2 years now and is still fine but a bit big (got the xxl stupidly thinking that Charlie would share it with him instead of sleeping on the settee - yeah right Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes )
Are they big enough for big chunky labs (39kg)?

erm... my lot use the big one in the bedroom. Confused Rolling Eyes

Actually for the car (and other places) I use Profleece, virtually indestructable and machine washable, and it looks like a rug (you can get it on ebay).

Very Happy

Ah now Wendy I think you may have to go up a size - they are soft though so the dogs just push them out to fit.

Warning though they are not good for chewers - one is awaiting repair (I need to find my needle and thread) as young Folly had a nibble or three Laughing

Tuffies dog beds are absolutely brilliant and I wouldn't buy any other make of bed! www.tuffies.co.uk

I have two wipe clean ones and a woven surface one and have to say the wipe clean ones are best as they are sooooo easy to clean. They have a futon style mattress inside so support the dogs body evenly. My arthritic Lab is much less stiff on rising since sleeping on Tuffies.

Can't recommend them enough!

I've been thinking of getting Rufus a new bed too, one thats going to be good for after his operation/s on his knees and whilst he's recovering. Has anyone used the orthopaedic memory foam ones? and are they any good? or would you recommend something else? I just want him to be as comfortable as possible.

Sorry to borrow your thread Embarassed

xxx

I'm still a Zippy bed fan. We've never had beds last so long and wash so easily.
