Coco is officially quite fast!
On Thursday we had a fun flyball night and Coco won a couple of rosettes.
First we did pairs speed trials where the first team paired up with beginners and the second team paired up with each other. So Coco was running with another dog from our second team. We won first place!
Then the beginners left and the 1st and 2nd team did individual speed trials. Coco got 3rd place out of about 8 dogs with a speed of 5.04 seconds.
I was thrilled
I know that the fastest teams are running 4 dogs in less than 17 seconds but 5.04 is still pretty good.
We have a flyball competition tomorrow and Coco might be running first in some of the races so I will see what she really does on the electronic lights/time system. We only need 65 points to get our Flyball Dog award so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we get there this time.

Go that Lab!
That is one good thing about having no dog ready to compete at winter shows - no early wake ups! I used to set alarm for 4am to give Luna brekkie in bed (had it readyon bedside table!) and then get up at 6am to head out to arrive at show for 8am! Take care on any icy roads in the morning - found an accident one morning on the way to a show last winter.
We started flyball 2 weeks ago with Harry. The trainer is amazed how quickly hes picked it up, he just seams to know exactly what to do. I cant wait till were good enough to start entering events with the team.
same here - but I know how frustrating it is waiting for the BFA to update their website! (tho i understand why they cant magically make the results appear )
really hope coco makes flyball dog - i was gutted - we are still 35 points away def at our next show...
