not a lab but please pass this on to anyone you know who may be able to help!!!

Vaccinated: unlikely
Temperament: friendly
Assessment - Has animal had a thorough assessment?: in hand

We have been asked to take in pregnant collie bitch (appx 4 weeks along) as a matter of urgency. She is used to living outside, the farmer has no use for her and he intends to drown the pups at birth..... which is what he has done in the past. She is very friendly to humans, ok with other dogs, unlikely to have been vaccinated and I doubt this should be done while she is pregnant.
We would prefer an experienced foster home for her where she can stay until she has had the pups and they are all ready to find homes. Ideally it would be within south or west Wales but as this is an urgent case we would accept help from anyone! (Homecheck of course).

Rang Kate to discuss it (as it is going to cost us a lot of money!!) - she has always had collies and some of hers had pups (they had a farm) so if push comes to shove she will take her in there - have asked her to think about it seriously, but we do have that option if nothing else.
Luckily we have 2 supermarket collections coming up so we can earmark the money raised at them for this girl.
Phew! This can be closed thank you - our lovely Treasurer has helped many animals give birth in her years as a farmer's wife and she is happy to help in this case!
you sure will. She will be coming into kennels for a few days (only fair to de-flea her and have a quick health check as Kates dogs are all rather elderly) then going to Kate's for the duration.
Will try to do a blog on the website to get some fundraising going for her but will put pics on here of any milestones!
