  |

Hi,
Apologies if there has been something organised here in the past - I've searched but can't see anything.
Is anyone interested in a get together or something anytime soon? Doesn't have to be a huge event - just a few folk and dogs would be great. I don't have any ideas as to location yet but if anyone's interested maybe we could sort out a place which suits everyone.
My dog Toby is 6.5 months so not able to go for longer walks yet. He's a friendly little chap and good with other dogs.
Thanks,
Liz & Toby
PS I'm close to Notts border so that's an alternative as well.

Hi Liz,
There are quite a few LFers in the notts/derbyshire area and a few GTs at Clumber (before the SCI scare) and some in Melton Mowbray. We went to one with Sam when he was about the same age as your Toby and he loved it even though he's a bit shy. He hasn't been well at the times when the others were but when he's recovered from this little op he's had (a week or so hopefully) we'd be happy to join in, I'm sure others will too. Not sure which Notts/Derbys border you're on but Shipley Park could be a good location if you go through the woodland or round by the pond following the path come up the other side there's a kind of small track road cross over and then there are fields if you walk up into those its all hedged and mostly dog owners only go up that bit so people aren't likely to complain about the dogs hoolying and if any have dodgy recall they won't get far, they'd probably stay with the pack anyway. You do have to pay £1 for car parking in daylight hours now but I don't mind Sam loves it there. I'm sure there are other good locations too - Clumber was good but a bit worried about SCI now I did look up the AHT website for an update on all the local areas but it does seem to still be a cause for concern in a few places.
I will keep an eye on the thread and see what others suggest.
Emma and Sam

We live on the Sheffield border but would be interested in any GT's around the Notts/Derbyshire area. Not been on one before so it would be great to other LF'ers.
