Hi,
Just read your post as I have similar problems with Buddie and Honey, Buddie is such a soft soul and a real pushover. Honey constantly chews at his lips just the same problem as you.
A friend who is a vet nurse said to try some vaseline on his cheeks. Just to deter Honey and stop his cheeks getting sore. Must admit I meant to get some today and forgot. Apart from that I think that if Buddie was getting really annoyed he is totally capable of walking away.
Hope it improves soon.
