Hi Sara,

I tell what are good and are cheap as chips...cow hooves from nurturing by nature, 33p each!! Leo has them and they last ages. They also sell other long lasting natural treats too.

I haven't been up there lately as I've been needing to stay close to home with Leo's injury but I'm planning a trip up there next week to get supplies!

Thank you for all your answers. I thought I would just update this for anyone else who is wondering whether their dog would enjoy these.

I ordered two large pieces - one was quite a thick dark coloured piece with the round bit at one end where it would have been attached to the deer's head. The other was a v-shaped piece from higher up the antler which was a lighter colour and the marrow was lighter coloured too. This was the piece they both wanted (!) and although I did take it away from them for quite a time it only lasted a couple of days before it got too small to be safe. They absolutely loved it though. The darker piece is now getting the attention. This is much harder, and whilst it may not taste so good to them, is more robust and lasting better.

They have enjoyed the stag bars, and I will order them again for birthday/christmas treats as they are quite expensive. I should think they would also be quite good for occupying a dog which needed to be rested.

I bought two, also, for christmas. Both large, one lighter, one darker.

Millie isn't particularly bothered by hers, Moss settled down for a good chew on the darker one at my Mum's on christmas afternoon and went through about 3inches in a hour Shocked
He seems to love it - but they're expensive if they're only going to last him a couple of chewing sessions!
They also freaked out the non-doggie people who were uncomfortable with the dogs crunching on such obvious bits of deer! Laughing

Jet had an antler chew for Christmas and he loves it. He's not a ferocious chewer but he does like to settle down by my feet in the evening with something to keep him busy. My hubby gets stressy if I give Jet bones in the living room but he's not fussed about the antler. WIN!
