Had a look around for this is the Forum and can't really find anything.
What is the best way to bring home my new puppy? In a carrier? Just in the back of the car (parcel shelf taken out) or in someones arms in the car?
I want it to be as stress free as possible and as nice an experience for everyone. Also we have a (nearly) 3 year old. Best to have her in the house when Mahsa comes home or out for a while?
I took all mine home in a laundry basket in the front seat. I think I carried Zephyr most of the way because it was only and hour and a half, where as the other two were both 4-5 hours away.

Cheers MM. Sounds like a plan for the journey. But if the puppy is carried home, then that will mean Lily will MOST likely have to be in the car too...
OMG puppy in baskets Too cute! And Zephyr pup cuteness overload
We carried our two In a blanket on my lap both snuggled up and slept for the short half hour journey
I collected my first puppy on my own, so I put her in my cat basket on the passenger seat.
Second puppy was an 8 hour or so journey, so I snuggled pup on my lap for a wee while just because I wanted to, and then she went in a soft crate on the back seat for the rest of the journey. Feebarn above was driving (thanks Fee )
I don't have kids, but if I did, I'd likely take them with me - it's the sort of stuff their memories are made of. I still remember going with my parents to collect a kitten when I was little and 'helping' hold it all the way home.
