The Irish Kennel Club might be able to provide you with one (at a cost). The British KC offer you the chance to purchase the 5 generation pedigree when you register change of ownership of the puppy.
Normally the breeder registers the litter, then has a form for each puppy which is given to the new owners to do with as they wish (either apply for change of ownership, pedigree documents etc or some just don't bother). I think the breeder also has a slip that they sign to say that they have sold the puppy - a bit like a car log book. I think I registered Coco online so I still have the breeder's certficate then I got my ownership certificate and 5 generation pedigree in the post a week or two later.
