Not sure if this is in the right place but really need some help Sad, Summer was always great at sleeping in her crate till we woke the next morning but recently she has started to wake from around 3/4am and barks constantly! We let her out for the toilet and put her back to bed which she is happy with for 10-15mins and then barks through untill 6-7am! We let her out for numerous toilet trips in that time but the same happens. Can someone please help? We live in a converted barn so it is not very insulated and you can hear her down the street! and our next door neighbours can be grouchy occasionally and complains to relevant people about numerous things( not about us) but im worried he will complain to rscpa etc about it but im not sure what else to do:( we have tried everything Sad Shes 7months almost and being doing it for around a month now can anyone help?

If Summer has been to the toilet and you have checked she is okay, it might just be that you need to be a bit firmer with her....hard, I know Sad but it could well be that she is crying for attention.
My 15 month old lab could be a pain at any time after half five, because she seemed to know it was nearly breakfast time. Could Summer be hungry? What time do you give her her food? We improved matters by making sure Pen had her last meal a bit later, and she has settled better since....but this of course brings its own toiletting issues.
It's always difficult when you have awkward neighbours, or potentially so, but if you explain you are doing your best....would this help?
Good luck and let her know you mean business...we so 'meant business', that we moved Penny up to the bedroom, this worked a treat, but it depends if you want Summer upstairs, I know it's not for everyone. Wink

Thanks, we usually feed her around 6-7 when we finally get up as we tried before and didnt achieve anything also she is fed around 10.30-11 every night before bed, i will atempt to talk to the neighbours although we had the rspca out a few weeks after she arrived after her barking in the early hours and that she was supposedly in a crate to small! but they were happy with everything and she has a 42" crate and always had done lol. Im just so worried but will try anything

I would try feeding her last meal at around 6-7 pm then out at around 10pm to help her settle I know when Max is fed late he has a bad night a bit like us really.

I agree with Cheryl, Pen is older and we give her her last meal at 5 ish, we used to give it her at half 3, so this is 'later' for her . It really is probably the stern "shush" approach that she needs... really good luck with that Wink but it will be worth it in the end. They soon learn who and when you mean business. Pen is better for my OH who is a LOT firmer with her than I am and yet she loves us both equally.
As for the RSPCA please don't get me started....
Keep us posted how you get on

Maybe trying something like a couple of dog biscuits around 10 ish so she thinks she is still being fed may work.
