I always go on Gundog day and meet up with other LF's.I think its the Friday in March.I usually look around in the morning and meet up with the others for lunch ,we meet at the Gamekeepers ring.The rest of the day is however you want it to be.Hope that makes sense.There is room to walk around with friends chatting etc.
I have been the last two years and shopped; watched some LFers showing their labs; watched obedience; flyball and agility. A very busy day but a great day out. The shopping can be done with a friend but gets a bit difficult if there's more than two trying to stay together.
Gundog day. Apart from meeting up, the trade stands are geared towards gundogs, just as if you go terrier day the trade stands will carry terrier stuff.
Got to be Gundog day!, great chance to wander the benches and meet up with members that show and those that are entering the Gamekeepers Ring, as said people generally meet up for lunch and a chinwag then go their separate ways.
Its usually very busy but always enjoyable with loads to see, I`m hoping to be able to go next year, not been for a couple of years.
The ticket includes everything except the Obedience ring and Best in Show (but that doesn't matter because Gundog day is the Friday).
So you can watch as much of the breed judging as you want, Young Kennel Club, Dog Activities, plus the full arena programme and the group judging in the evening. Plus the shopping is fantastic. All in all, a bargain
Last year I went up with a friend and we stayed over in the hotel and had a great day out. Unfortunately she's rehomed her dog so I don't have anyone to go with this year - I know Hayley would love to go but it's a case of whether she and Adam are still based in Germany!
So if anyone fancies going together then please let me know.
