Does anyone know of any good treats we can give Whiskey?

All the ones we've seen in the shops tend to be for puppies over 3 months old...

Thanks.

To be honest, used in moderation, all training treats are fine for a 9 week old, forget what the packet says. But ideally use bits of his usual puppy kibble food. OR little bits of chopped ham or cheese, and I mean little bits.

make him work for them don't give him them for everything good he does, keep him guessing a little, just a little seen as he is so young, but don't overdo them. think of treats as a pay packet at the end of a good 'piece' of work, not a drip drip drip for everything he does roughly right.... enjoy him! They are like sponges!

Not sure if you have a branch near you but Jollyes do Chicken and Yoghurt puppy treats which are suitable from 8 weeks. I think the Harringtons puppy and training treats can be given from 8 weeks as well.

I know from work that Wagg also do treats suitable from 8 weeks. Little sticks that you can break up into peas sized bits.

Aw thats great thanks guys...

I wanted to try him with like the sticks that last a bit longer to keep him occupied.

Nice to know we dont have to follow the packet! ha.

We tend to treat him when we are toileting him...
Its amazing how quickly they pick things up!

Thanks again,
Aimee, Rich and Whiskey

I used home made tuna cake and Barker & Barker treats for Minnie when she was teeny - and that's what my dogs have as adults too Smile

like toddlers they don't yet know the value of sweeties/treats yet so i just tend to use kibble for small pups - save the big guns for when you really need them as confident teenagers Laughing
