I have had a few people recommend it and I was thinking of downloading to Kindle, would love to know what others thought of the book if you have read it?

There were parts that were very good, however I found the flowery use of language very annoying and that's why it took me several attempts to read it, as I kept getting cross with it and putting it to one side.
Many people really rate it though and I would have given you my copy, if I hadn't already given it away to someone else.
I doubt you'll learn much from it, Nat, as you've been around difficult/problem/abused dogs yourself, but if you can get hold of a cheap copy, it's worth a read.

I enjoyed it. It's not really a training book, it's more about forming a balanced relationship and I know that some people really hate it (and I can understand their reasons), but I found it a very nice book to read. I dont know if I learned anything but it had me in tears in several places.
I would say that it's worth reading, especially if you can get it cheaply/borrow it, but dont have too high an expectation for it before you start.
I really liked it. I skim read the boring bits and the bits that were a bit too airy fairy for my liking, but on the whole I thought it was a really good book and certainly helped remind me about the type of fair and compassionate person and dog owner I want to be.
I think it's a fantastic book. I didn't feel like I learned a huge amount from it - I'm far from an expert, but I feel as though I'm on the same "wavelength" as the author.
I really enjoyed it, though it made me cry lots, it was nice to read such a compassionate book. I've said before, I'd like to see anyone with a CM book burn it and read this instead
