I have to start this by saying I may be a bit paranoid. My brother took is gorgeous yellow lab in yesterday to have a lump on his paw biopsied, but after a chest x-ray it was discovered that he has secondaries in his lungs
I guess it's an osteosarcoma or mast cell tumour.
Anyway, during cuddles last night, I found a solid lump in the middle of Poppy's paw. It's very hard, but not sore. It may have been there before and I hadn't noticed and then because of yesterday's news it made me more vigilant.
But I do love those paws and cuddle them a lot, so think I am likely to have noticed if it had been there a while.
So now I'm all worried. I've book her into the vets, but can't take her until monday.
And the other half of me thinks that if it's something horrid, do I want to know??
The only other thing I can think of if she sustained and injury before we got her and that's how it healed.
Any other ideas?

It's more me than the vet's Mary. They didn't have any appts today, and I can't get her there until Monday because of work. Having said that I think there is an open clinic on Saturday. I might give that a try.

I'm sorry to hear of your brother's lab. No wonder you are worried about Poppy. Please get it checked asap. Que had a cancer in her paw which caused her the loss of two toes, but that saved her life.
It's so easy to imagine the worst when you are aware of what happened to your brother's dog, however, you know how lumpy and bumpy labs can be. It could be any number of harmless things. It's good that you are getting it checked but try to stay optimistic. Keep us posted.
