... and so do I! Hello, I'm new here. I'm the proud owner of a 3 month old chocolate lab called Rocco, and am hoping to get hints and tips on bringing him up. He's fairly well behaved, and training is going well (until he gets distracted by exciting things like falling leaves...)

Anyway, here's Rocco - 1 photo from the day he arrived with us, and another from last week:

awww, a lovely choccie boy. Mine was that size once upon a time. He's a 10 month old monster now. But we love him to bits.

Welcome to LF, both of you, its a great site. Sure you will find lots of help when you need it.

Thanks all Smile aye, he's a lovely pup and growing fast - he has massive paws, and I think he'll be a bit of a giant once he's fully grown!

Hi James and welcome to you and Rocco, he`s a gorgeous chunk of chocolate Laughing , I`m biased though having a choc myself.

CJ is a big boy, slighter taller than the breed height but not enormous, big paws doesn`t always mean big dog although Rocco does look like he`ll be a stocky boy Very Happy

Please don`t be afraid to ask any questions you may have, no matter how daft they seem to you, you`ll usually find that some has experienced what ever it is you are and members here willingly give advice and tips Very Happy

Hi Mary - thanks for the reassurance on size Smile Before we got him I was telling my partner that not all labs are huge, and we'll make sure we get one that's not going to grow into a monster. He was the last one in the litter that hadn't been sold, and when I saw him I completely ignored the massive paws and just got sold on his sad face Very Happy

As well as owning a lab I do dog portraits and I guess here's as good as place as any to ask where would be the best place to show them off on the forum?
