Hello, as a few of you may have noticed, I am quite passionate about rescue
Well this week I am pleased to be hosting a virtual kennel on my blog, for the Pedigree Adoption Drive 2011. If you visit here:
http://www.poochiefreakphotography.com/?p=2753 you will see the virtual kennel to the right.
To walk the gorgeous Ripley, you just need to click on the virtual kennel and follow the instructions. You get to walk her through four websites (which are all nice "outdoors" type sites) and you can play with her during the walk. You don't have to register your details at all and you can do it very quickly, but it is fun to stop and play with Ripley
Once you complete the walk, you'll see a notification on the screen that £1 has been unlocked towards the total fund. There is £100,000 available to be unlocked over the next five days.
I chose to do this because I support the promotion of rescue dogs and adoption in general and also because I'm hopeful Oldies Club will receive a donation from the Adoption Drive at some point.
The virtual walk is a great idea and fun to take part in, but it's a serious messasge. At least 20 dogs in the UK will be taking their last walk today, as they are pts as strays who were unclaimed/abandoned and who weren't able to find a new home or rescue space in time
Thanks for reading and (hopefully) taking part - and thank you for the permission to post this here

So far I can`t get beyond the first web site, I think its because my puter is very slow being an old model with not much punch to it (was good in 2003/4 ), hopefully I`ll be able to get new drive for my other machine in the next couple of days and then I can walk Ripley.
Brilliant idea from Pedigree and I hope it raises the £100,000 they are looking for

Thank you
Mary, I'm not sure what sort of mix she is. I could guess but I'd likely be wrong If I find out, I'll let you know. She is beautiful. I have taken her for a few walks today already
They have been having a few problems with the walk, I got stuck in Bournemouth for a while (can think of worse places!). I think it's ok now.
