Yes, it is amazing that there is no fighting but I think they are just so focused on fetching the ball that they don't give it a second thought.
We have a couple of dogs who will give a bit of a growl at the next dog as they return with the ball, but they have the ball in their mouth and won't let go of it to fight. Sometimes if they have a tendancy to snap at other dogs they will run first or last if it helps. Coco runs last because she is more likely to find the temptation to stray onto the other lane if she sees dogs going the other way. I think as she has more practice she will probably run in a different position.
The dogs who do well at flyball do it because they want to do it and you can see them straining at the line up, they have to wear harnesses because straining in a collar wouldn't do them any good. It's quite surprising that they run back as quickly as they run to fetch the ball.
