Don't panic they will soon be dragging you all along the road and you'll be asking 'how do you stop them pulling!' Sam used to do that all the time when he was little if he didn't want to go somewhere he's just plant his bottom and refuse to move! We tried lots of tactics - crossing over, going another way, luring him with treats in a hand but not letting him get them (holding in a fist so he could smell them), having someone else walk with us with him in the middle, the stooge person running ahead and then saying get 'name' or using a toy or saying lets get the 'name of treat that dog understands - fishes/sweeties/bread/treaties' - whatever you use. Remember for a little pup there are absolutely loads of smells and sights and sounds, even ones you aren't aware of because human senses are different so what may seem simple to you is a huge experience for the pup and sometimes they just stop to take it all in or because they're scared. We unfortunately get into the I must walk the dog for its exercise mindset which is how then frustration occurs, try not to worry how far you get just keep going small distances, give pup time to get used to the environment, even sit outside on your drive or a bench and watch the world go by - literally, once they're used to the big wide world they'll learn how much fun can be had there and will want to go out.

...and my Sam loves Pets@Home and Kennelgate too - so many facinating things so many people to pet him but so little time! Laughing
