Why not try the Skinners Salmon and Rice - a different protein may help out with some of the issues you've been having and it would still be in your budget.... you do need to feed 100g for 8kg of weight!
Where as when my girl was on JWB Lamb and Veg I could feed under the recommended allowance but she still did produce more poo's than I'd like. I have switched her over to Skinners in the last two weeks and she is only doing 2/3 poos now rather than the 4/5. Her coat is doing well too much better than on JWB

Good Luck

Hi you may not like this idea, but have you ever thought about feeding raw, I can feed Zak and Brodie for about £40 a month, positives are no wind, no doggy breath because teeth are super clean from chewing the bones, no additives, preservatives or cereals so no allergies and very small non smelly really firm poos, Razz Razz Razz plus very natural for a dog

We are actually trying that at the moment, in case it was the protein rather than the actual brand, hasnt made a jot of difference.

Why cant things ever be simple!

Sadly raw isnt an option whatsoever, we have a tiny built in fridge freezer with just two and a half drawers of freezer space, which isnt big enough for the three of us, let alone the dogs. We dont have a garage or anything either to put a large freezer in. It is something I have looked into tho, so thank you.

I wonder if Berriewoods would split the type of bag for Arden Grange, ie one puppy and one adult? Will look into that, and into Autarky a bit more too.

'Food' for thought..mmm thank you for all your suggestions.

I'm forever recommending Simpsons Smile The chicken and rice variety is about £24 if you join the working/breeder scheme (recently renamed to 'working' I guess to allow more people to join). I started my lot on this before they introduced their potato varieties, and it was certainly very good.
