Crikey. Shocked Not sure how hard they have tried on the rescue front?? Confused Have they been in touch with Labrador Rescue? That would be my suggestion anyway.

Sadly, I am nowhere near close enough to be able to help myself (and I do have children anyway), but I do hope someone else can.

Have they tried Labrador Rescue North West?
http://www.homealabrador.net/rehoming.php

The Oldies Club rehoming team can be contacted by email at rehome@oldies.org.uk (website is http://www.oldies.org.uk), though we do have a waiting list of dogs to come into our care and it depends on what sort of foster home environment a dog would fit into.

Some vets will try to find a rescue space instead of pts, but sometimes there's just nowhere for the poor dogs to go Crying or Very sad

So can`t someone foster him till a home can be found i am not that far away i live on my own but now and again i have my children visit.
Problem i have really not sure how he would get on with Ben and i do go out and i know i can leave Ben with no problems with the run of the house.

Seems a shame to put him down if he`s still so healthy .

I can`t find him on facebook .
