I never had the pleasure of meeting Misty, but she was a member of our extended family and loved like any other and we were hoping to meet her very soon.
Misty spent the first 3 1/2 years of her life shut in a tiny kitchen because her family had bought her to breed from but then decided it was too much bother. Thankfully, they woke up one day and decided to get rid of Misty. My lovely cousin, Kelly, and her husband got a phone call saying they could either take her or she was being dumped at the Dogs Home.
Kelly and Stu took Misty into their family and showed her what life as a chocolate labrador was REALLY all about and she had a year of playing with the kids, going on holiday to the beach, having lovely long walks and getting as many cuddles as she wanted
On Monday morning, Misty collapsed and was rushed to the vet. Within just a minute of getting there, Misty died It turned out that this beautiful girl, at just 4 and a half years old and having only had one precious year of really living life, had a belly full of cancer
I'm so sorry that we never got to meet you, Misty, but I know just how very much you meant to your family and just how big a hole you've left in their lives
Run free at the Bridge now, beautiful girl, forever young

What a sad story but thankfully Misty at least lived and ended her live with a family that loved her and showed her how much fun life could be. Really sorry for their loss but they should feel proud that they gave Misty a wonderful life, short as it may have been.
I`m so sorry to hear about Misty, poor girl what an awful start to her life but although she only had a year of knowing what it was like to be a dog, what a year it was, full of love and caring.
I hope what they did for Misty in such a short time will be of some comfort to your cousin and her OH, my thoughts are with them.
Run Free at the bridge What a terrible start poor Misty had but I bet she had the greatest time in that year at least she knew happiness in the end its so sad that she died so young

One life Live it
I glad she had a fabulous year of doing everything a dog should. Your cousin and her husband gave her a wonderful life, it just so sad it ended so soon. They must be devastated.
So sorry to read this.
Thankfully Misty enjoyed 1 year of the good life, thanks to all who gave her that good year.
Curses to the scum that kept her locked up for so long.
Life can be so cruel, this girl deserved to live for many more years.
Take Care and best wishes.
Gary and Toby.
