Well, I've learnt something here tonight. I never realised that labs were bouncy!! No wonder Doodles can't keep their feet on the ground. I've always thought the bounce comes from the Poodles.
Many Labs are just as Bouncy, if not more so than some Poodles. I find with Labradoodles, all the negative traits are regularly blamed on the Poodle side and all the positive traits on the Lab. I'm not sure why, as there is good and bad in both breeds.
I do think you know more what you're getting with a Poodle though, as Labs can range from Shy to In-yer-face, from Can't Sit Still to Can't Be Bothered to Get Off the Sofa, from Desperate to Please to Couldn't Care Less and from So loyal they would die for you to Going home with anyone who'll feed them. They really are the most diverse breed I know. I guess this is why Labradoodles range from Bouncing Clowns to Soppy, Dopey Lumps.

That would explain it. Labradoodles development seems to be so unpredictable, even in the same litter. Some people get little angels and some get unruly hooligans. I don't think there is a happy medium. They are very challenging dogs.

You only have to read through these forums to realise exactly the same could be said about Labradors .
I always think the many write up's about Labradors are so misleading. If you choose your breeder and type of Lab carefully, then you can get the "Great with Children, Easy Going, Easy to Train" version, but far too many Lab breeders couldn't give two hoots to the temperaments of the dogs they breed from, so many, many Lab puppies grow up far from those common descriptions of the breed.
If only people did their research BEFORE buying a pup, then the shysters who'll put anything to anything to make a few bob, would go out of business. And that goes for any and every breed or cross.
