I have owned a number of different breeds, apart from Standard Poodles, in my time but I have never owned a Lab so I do find it hard to give a general description of a Lab when asked. Since I started Labradoodle Trust I have learned quite a bit about Labs and their behaviour that I didn't know before but I was wondering how you would describe Labs in general?
I would sum up Standard Poodles as intelligent and bouncy.
What two words would you use to sum up a Labrador?

I think intelligent and bouncy also sums up most labradors, as they can be bouncy as youngsters.
Greedy and foodies also spring to mind.

I would say the same as you do for the Standard Poodle, Labs are intelligent but possibly don`t always use it, they can be clowns when they want to be
Definitely bouncy!, too bouncy a lot of the time, I think if you want different words from the SP then Lively and Bright would be the ones I`d use.
So, you get a Bouncy, Intelligent, Lively Bright animal when you adopt a Labradoodle

All Different ... are the two words I'd use.
You have such huge extremes not only in looks but in temperament, I don't think you can generalise about Labradors.

Not quite what you are after, but when I think of my Labs and what they demonstrate, the three little words which sum things up for me, are:
Joy of Life
My two Labs have huge similarities and huge differences, but they both show an immense joy of life. Minnie is my sunshine.
