Oh Katy, to hear you describe his last few days is so so heartwarming. He truly was a lucky boy to have a 'mum' who could read him so so well. I'm glad that you feel he had the best life possible because it certainly sounds like he did to me.

I hardly ever read the rainbow bridge section. Not because I don't care, but because I can't... it makes me think of the mortality of my beloved pets who are all so much members of our family.
