with little expectations of passing to be honest, but we will give it a go anyway.

The one thing I think we will fail on is the handling by the examiner. Bailey gets very nervy when people, outside, try and stroke him etc. He is fine in the house by the way. So I think he will pull away enough for us to fail. Sad

Any tips on how I can battle this will be greatly received. Wink

When training: something really yummy and special being held by you for him to lick and fed to him while being examined by the other person.

For the test something really yummy no longer in your hand but just removed so he can lick the bits while being examined!

Good luck!

I cheated a bit on this one as Coco is not particularly good at having her paws handled. My trainer warned the tester that Coco had recently "had a bad experience" so the tester made a real fuss of her, held a treat in her mouth for Coco to take and did a really gentle, fun examination.

Whilst Coco grumbles when I touch her paws she is fine with the vet and tends to be ok if anyone just goes in using a matter of fact approach. I think if the tester goes in quite business like you will probably be ok.

Good luck today, try not to communicate your nervousness to Bailey as he`ll pick up on it very quickly.

Well we've just been to training, he does everything perfectly..... he's had lots of fuss and handling from the other owners and the trainer.. Confused But he is still very very nervous and just wants to get away, luckily though I found out that I can hold him and talk to him etc, so fingers crossed that will be enough to keep him focused for our test this afternoon. Very Happy Rolling Eyes

Thanks for all the well wishes, those LF vibes will hopefully see us through. Very Happy
