Yeah I thought that in one of the pics you can see it looks like a normal labby coat.

A viszla has a destinct smooth coat, they are also very lean.

But a labby puppy, particularly a working bred one can be a bag of bones, and getting them covered can be hard! I've been there with both Pasco and Zephyr!

He just doesn't have much pigment, so it gives him an unusual look Smile

He's a bonny lad, no doubt about it Smile

Hi Captain Yid, we're Spurs supporters and Fox Red lab people too. Just down the road from you.

My fox red lab now 10 months old looked identical to yours when he was a puppy. He's full KC reg lab too with green eyes and light pigmented nose. Everyone thought he was a viszla too!

I wonder if he came from the same breeder actually because I've met another dog from the same kennels who looks almost identical and came from the same breeder. I've got a pic of the two of them which I'll try to post.

Anyway, welcome!

Hello! Your lovely boy, Charlie looks very similar to my puppy -and he's 100% labrador! Chester and his littermates had the big ears, narrowish face look too. Charlie looks gorgeous.
