Hi and welcome.

Hopefully from the puppy section and the links you've picked up its not the puppy that needs hip test, its Mum and Dad, ask the breeder if both the parents have been hip scored and preferably elbows too. they should also, as a minimum have a clear eye certificate for both parents.

As a guide the lower the score for hips the better and really below or at breed average should be what you're looking for.

All the feedback has been so useful. I now fully understand hip scores and have read part one and most of part two in the puppy section.

This really is heaven for a dog... and adults. It's so peaceful and beautiful, I can't wait for an excuse to explore the Pembrokeshire countryside with Lily. We both work from home online so we'll get plenty of time to lavish on our new arrival.

Exciting Very Happy

Hi Marianne,

We are at the edge of a hamlet called Star, have you heard of it? A few miles south of Newcastle Emlyn. We haven't made it over to Fishguard yet but we do plan on exploring more once we have the dog for an excuse to get out.

It is a lovely part of the world and being so used to people in my face, getting the tube to and from work, it's lovely waking up, hearing cows and birds and not having to see anyone if I don't want to.

I may sound older than I actually am... I just turned 27 Smile

Still waiting on the owner to send me pics and info before we go visit the pups. May have to give her a little bell later to show my eagerness.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

Yes I know Star, It is very near the lady we had Mambo from!!

It is good that there are younger people moving into Pembrokeshire rather than out!!
