Ok, I have had an enquiry via a very well respected breeder, she is assisting with an enquiry for a pup to go to Bermuda.
This is a home who has had 2 flatcoats from her in the past, lifelong home as a pet but in Bermuda there are only 6 flatcoats, and she likes them to come from the UK.
One puppy recently from a friends litter was meant to be going to her, sadly due to a heart murmer the lady in Bermuda was advised to back out by her vet, I can kind of understand that as it is going to cost her over £2000 in the long run to get a pup and get it to Bermuda.
It is something I need to decide for myself, and as I understand it the whole process has to be handled by an agency.
My question is has anyone here one through this process, I would just like a rough guide to how it works before I actually talk to her tomorrow in person.
Any pointers anyone?
Thanks
Jac

____________ I am only responsible for what I say, not for what you understand !
Jac I seem to remember that old Flint's breeder used to export a lot of her labradors to Bermuda. She is the only one I can think of and I'm sure she wouldn't mind chatting about it. I haven't been in touch with her, other than Christmas cards for years but If you are stuck I could probably dig out a telephone number for you.
You know what they say, "First come, first served" and she expects you to be the one doing the serving! Sounds so much like Polly's Lucy!
This is all you have to look forward to if thats the case
THE HONOURABLE LUCINDA
Lucy’s an uncommon dog,
She’d like it understood
That somewhere in her ancestry
There must be royal blood,
She has a way of peering down
Her rather regal nose
That says, “we have to tolerate
This riff-raff I suppose,
But really this is not the sort
Of service I expect,
These servants just don’t seem to know
The meaning of respect”.
One wouldn’t find Lucinda
Turning silly doggy tricks,
Or spoiling her coiffure
By chasing rabbits, cats or sticks,
She has much more important things
To sit and contemplate,
Matters more becoming
To her elevated state.
Quite frankly I feel honoured
That, with her fine pedigree
Lucinda still puts-up with
Such a mongrel cur as me!
