The reason I ask is that we have never fed Ivan wet food (apart from "treat days") and started Milly on kibbles as soon as she came from the shelter, and people have remarked on how clean their teeth are - sorry, that's not bragging, just making an observation on impact of different foods on dogs teeth.
Considering Milly had yellow witchy teeth when she came to us, it must be the kibbles. My friend's dog is same age as Ivan, fed on wet food, and there is a noticeable difference in tooth colour and gum condition. |
There is nothing wrong with wet food Mooz, in fact dried complete food is a relatively new thing. Back in the old days it was the standard food for dogs. It was normally fed with a biscuit meal (terrier meal) to give the dogs something to crunch on to scour their teeth, and I have to say, I never had a dog with a bad tooth.
Regards, John

Oh no, nothing wrong with wet food, but now we DO have decent dry food it does keep their teeth and gums cleaner for longer into their lives. Anyway, I took down my post as this is nothing to do with skin issues, it's to do with helping Jenson's behaviour so staying on dry food wasn't an option for him anyway.
