Hi all,
Myself and my wife, Claire, are new on here. We've just bought our first ever puppy - a gorgeous yellow labrador. He is just 12 weeks old and we've called him Dexter. We've always had labradors in our lives so decided it was the right time for us to join the club. My parents recently lost their 2 labradors to illness within 7 weeks of each other - one was 13 and the other was 11. They are currently looking at getting a new one in the middle of October. Claires parents have a 7 year old Black Lab called Oscar - he's massive and hopefully will be one of Dexters friends.
Dexter has only had his first lot of injections so far but is due his last lot next Thursday. Its a bit frustrating that we can't yet take him out on proper walks but he's already very good on his lead and we're getting there with the toliet training. I'm sure there's plenty of ups and downs to come but we'll look forward to them all.

Hi Phil and welcome to you, Claire and of course Dexter Very Happy , if he is still able to be carried you can take him out and about, maybe sit on a bench in town and watch the world go by, you`ll have most of the townspeople come to say hi to Dexter Laughing

I`m sorry to hear about your parents Labs going so close together, they must have been devastated, I hope we get to hear about the new arrival when s/he comes Very Happy

Dexter will also be ok to meet Oscar as long as Oscar`s vacs are up to date Smile
