Just wondering if any one has tried this food or could you look at ingredients as I really not know what I am looking for properly. Just looking in case Max stops eating RC as he eats it but takes a while and is this as good as RC

I have just had a look at the ingredients and it lists Rice as the main ingredient I think 55% and only 15% meat 5% herring.

Personally I would rather go for a food which lists the meat as the main ingredient, although if the dog was already on this diet and doing well on it (healthy, shiny coat etc) then I would probably stick with it.

It isnt a cheap food Confused for not much more you could feed Acana which has 60% meat and no grain or for the same sort of quality as the Oscar, check out the Skinners range and save yourself a few pounds.

There is so much in the Diet and Nutrition section on all the different foods and what suits one may not suit another Rolling Eyes have a read through before you make your mind up Smile

Thanks Rio your dogs have lovely coats I was just wondering saying that Rc works but he is a little fussy and guess what today he has ate it all no problem. I asked about Oscar as it was recommended and thought if I did have to change may try it. Its such a mine field.

I don't see why they have to add salt to dog food. I don't think it is the worst you could buy but I think you could also get better for that money.

Beware, once the Oscar people get your name they will pester you for quite a while. I entered a free draw at a local show for some Oscar food and had the local Oscar rep on my doorstep about 4 times over the next year. He was persistent if nothing else even though I kept telling him I was more than happy with Burns.

Totally agree Pam .... I wont say too much on a public site - but lets just say .... when I want you to deliver - I want you TO DELIVER! .... not still be standing there wanting to chat 40 mins later!

I'm busy! ...... and perhaps a tad unsociable Laughing Cool

Very Happy Thanks Very Happy

I'm really happy with the Wainwrights now .... with any other food (incl Oscars) Bentley would start to push his food around after about 2 weeks - because he was bored with it.

Now - he scoffs the lot without fail. Never gets bored with it.
Morgan on the other hand - is a Dyson! He'll eat anything! Rolling Eyes lol x
