Just caught up with this. I think all of us when taking on a new dog have the 'what have I done' feelings in the first couple of days but it usually settles down fairly quickly so glad you are hanging on in there! Dogs are pack animals at the end of the day and do like to live with another, its just a case of ironing out the creases in the first few days and sorting out who gets what job! Good luck with everything, and if we can help let us know. xx

I'm pleased you feel a bit better about it today. I think you plan sounds a good one. Weds will be far to soon to tell but with your daughter home and schools starting again soon things will become more normal and settle and you will have a better 'feel' for it all. I think letting your daughter have the lounge to herself is a good idea, I don't imagine it will be long before she wants to dogs in but everyone will need some space to adjust Smile

the drooling might be cos he was constantly fed tit bits? We had this with Dylan for a while before we got strict and he learnt he did not get food all the time. Just a thought anyway.

Dylan's coat is also gorgeous on the Orijen.

You sound so much better today Very Happy

It sounds a lot more positive. I think your new boy would probably benefit from some one to one time with you for training and walking, at 9 months Skye should only be having about 45 minutes of exercise each day anyway and it would probably do them both good to have some time apart.

I'm sure he will settle down more as the week goes by and hopefully by next weekend things will be a lot calmer.
