Thank you all so very much for your lovely comments.

Gem is lovely. I went up to Lincolnshire from Sussex to get her as a pup - as her sire is from shared parentage to my previous lab - who I did gundog training with - but never competed or worked due to work and life's 'stuff' getting in the way. Jazz died suddenly from a ruptured spleen tumour aged 11. She was special and I miss her.

This young minx has no excuses as she is bred to work - huge talent on sire's side - and dam is a working lab with a lovely temperament. We will learn together - I have been surrounded by dogs since before I could walk - but my dream is to train and work a gundog to the best of our joint ability.

I have a trainer that I rate very highly and hope that if we put the work in that he can help us and we can have some fun. Joined a couple of clubs need to help out and watch so I can learn.

Love reading the posts - will hopefully have more to add over time as we make progress and mistakes!!

Live in Sussex always looking for unsuspecting dogs to photograph! (no not an ad - just a hobby!) Very Happy
