As if losing Bella and Nemba last year by a shotgun wasn't painful enough we have just heard of two more of LL pups that have be fatally shot by a local farmer.
Buddy and Dillion were 2 yr old male siblings. We have just learned that they have been shot dead by a farmer....
3p and I are gutted and I will not apologise for hoping that Tess's owner reads this and takes it on board........

TY Jane,
Despite 44 views, with just your reply, I truely hope that LF membership takes heed.
Like it or not, a farmer has the right to shoot your dog if he ' deems ' it to be bothering his livestock.........think about it !
Will not be your pups fault..but yours.... contain them, train them, keep them safe.....or lose them.....
Sometimes things are more important than what food they eat, whether solid or not poo's etc......
Think about it.....

Rhoni - I read this thread but I did not understand the context which is why I didn't reply. Your follow up post explained things a bit more.

We don't go near farmers fields Rhoni but if we were near livestock the pooch would be on a lead so that I have total control.

It's so sad. The poor dogs would not know the seriousness of what was happening. It is our duty to our dogs to guard them against risk.

My first thought was "oh no, not again" when I read the title of this thread Rhoni , sadly its still lambing season for a oot of farmers and they won`t think twice about shooting a sog thats near their livestock, as you sy lets hope Tess`s owner reads this and takes heed.
