Hello! I'm Charlotte, mum to William (3, nearly 4) Seth, (2, nearly 3) Alyssa (14 months) and from the 21st September, 'Zoe'. I could arguably put in my other half in there somewhere but I don't think that would be wise
After much deliberating on Chris' behalf, he has finally agreed to a dog. I grew up with dogs practically my whole life and couldn't imagine my kids not having these amazing animals in their lives. Granted, my mother bred Miniature Schnauzers at a high level but ever since I was a young girl Labs had stolen my heart. Chris, on the other hand, has never had a dog in his life so I think it's about time to rectify that! I'm very happy to be at that point in our life that we can welcome a gorgeous bundle of fun into our home.
We went to see Zoe last weekend - I was met with a pile of black and brown bundles of fur and had actually picked up another little girl when 'Zoe' caught the corner of my eye and I just *knew*. We're off to see her again next weekend and I can't wait to see how much she's changed. I was a little aprehensive about how the kids would react but their behaviour around the little puppies has put me somewhat to ease - Alyssa couldn't stop cuddling little Zoe and has an obsession with dogs, especially labs.
I'm off to subscribe now. See you all on the forums soon! x

Hello Charlotte and Family.Welcome to LF.I bet you can't wait till the 21st September when Zoe enters your life. Its nice that you can go and visit Zoe and watch the changes.
Sounds brilliant - are you nearish a beach? I bet cornwall is stunning on a good day (although having lived in Sidbury, Sidmouth, Devon - I know how much the West likes rain! )
Look forward to some pics and more info when she is here

We're close to about 4 beaches - all dog friendly - quite a few trails and lots of woods. I've never really been 'taken' by the area I live but now I'm seeing it through the eyes of a dog with loads of places to go to/explore, I'm starting to see it in a new light. Now if only the weather would comply I'm not massively keen on mud on my cream carpets!
