Hya, I have been looking at the red dingo collars and leads and I love the pink spotty on brown but I just wondered what the leads are like? I read something on here about the clips not being great?

Any advice would be great!

I have just added the a plain red lead to my collection to go with Ellie's various red patterned collars and tags. We have had no problems with the the clip...it's big which makes it easier for hubby's chunky fingers to find it and remove it. It has lovely padded handle - I buy mine direct from Dapper Pets and can't fault the service.

The clips are good and study on the UK dingo leads.

The problems with the clips comes from the older fancy clips, they were in different dog shapes, they wore with time (but a new clip can be put on easily at home so I didnt need to buy a new lead)
I don't think any of those style are imported to the UK anymore.

My dingo leads are 5 years old and going strong Smile

I always have Red Dingo leads. Very sturdy and comfortable to hold, and have had no problem with the clips.

These are the different clips. In the UK you almost always only get 'old faithful' and these are fine.

It's the others that I have found give with use, even with a non-puller.

I only got mine a couple of weeks back and it has the old faithful style clips - as Dapper Pets are the UK importer for Red Dingo I rang them to co check up on sizes and delivery and they were more than happy to answer my questions.

They are addictive though the Red dingo collars... already have 2 and will add to the collection when next set of designs come out.

I think the polka dot one will look gorgeous on your new chocolate girl.

We have red dingo collars and leads, Poppy has the brown with pink polka dots and it's adorable.

We haven't had any problems with the clips, but then Poppy isn't a puller. ( we use a different lead for Cass although she has a red dingo collar).

Bran has Red Dingo collar and lead, but I bought the plain lead so that it will go with any future collars in the same base colour Wink

It is the best lead that I have ever owned and I've had a lot - trust me! They are slightly longer than normal leads, very strong and very comfortable to hold. The clips seem really sturdy and solid Very Happy

The collar and lead that he had before this set were Dapper's own and the metal clip on the collar eventually wore out and broke and the lead needed replacing twice because the clip on it just kept coming undone at random Shocked

Hmmm now this is getting daft Laughing Maybe she needs the pink/choco spot lead and collar and then a plain pink collar and then a brown brown lead...everything would be matching and interchangable then! Embarassed Laughing

The daft thing is that she currently uses a harness for walking!! Laughing
