We're really impressed with our Hunter harness http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/dogs/dog_cages_carriers/car_harness/92893 it clips to the seat belt point and makes a very useful walking harness too if you want to leave it on. It was crash tested by the manufacturers in Germany which is why my Dad got it he's into ncap ratings and testing etc and they don't seem to test dog restraints over here. Sam likes looking out and loves to sit/lie on the backseat, I hope Hector finds it better than in the boot Smile what do you drive btw?

Archie and Polly both have Ezy Dog harnesses, which can be used as a walking harness but come with a seat belt adapter. It's quite short, so they can't move about, unlike some other car harnesses.

Thanks everyone Very Happy

I really like the look of the Bergen but its a lot of money if sitting in the back makes no difference to his travel sickness, think I'll try a cheap one then invest in a Bergen if it does work

Bothb mine use a large size in the ancol car harness - even though they're quite different sized labs.

They are very adjustable, both the straps and where they thread through on the padded section.
Most websites give chest measurment guids I think for ancol, or check in a local pet store first to try one on? Smile

Hope it works whichever you decide. Have you got a car seat protector cover - might be a good plan, although Sam does find them a bit slippy so I tend to put a towel or blanket on top of that for him so Hector might appreciate that too so he doesn't slide about.

As for the porche well perhaps swap it for a bentley continental... Laughing Wink
