I've tried virtually everything now to stop Hector's car travel sickness so the final thing I've left to try is putting him on the back seat rather than in the boot.

So can anyone please recommend a car travel harness?

TIA x

I got Melvin a Bergen car harness (before I fully converted my car to a dog transporter and nothing else Laughing) They're really expensive full price, but I got a brand new one for 99p on eBay. They're very good though, much more substantial than others that I've seen and obviously won't cut into them if you did have to brake suddenly.

We use an RAC one with our (now no longer car sick) lab. We took advice from her trainer, made her a bandana, sprayed it with DAP and let her ride on the front seat. She looked like the Queen!!!!! After about a week like this she realised that the car was ok and just stopped drooling.
Since then we have driven to Scotland and back with her (we live in Dorset) and she just settles down either on the back seat or the boot.
However....... she will always prefer the front seat, I think because she can see better.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
We have always used the Clix Car Safe seat belts for the back seat - it can either be plugged into the seat belt anchor or the car seat belt itself can be threaded through the 'handle' of the dog harness. The handle bit (sorry, can't think of how else to describe it!) is also long enough to use as a lead from home to car, or you could clip the lead into the anchor point. the chest bit is nicely padded, which I like, and it also washes well.
It is really quick and easy to get the dog in and out of as well - we got in a right fankle with the PAH one!

Good luck!
