WELL!! There is one MASSIVE result missing off that list further up!
TUCKER finished FIFTH in Group 1!!!!! Just 1 mark off little Digger in 4th place!
Me, Luna and Tucker had such a fab day! Luna got to do the fun bits of the day and catch up on snoozing - it's tiring having a little brother! I got to put loads of names to faces, do some gossiping and got to meet LOADS of gorgeous woofers!
And then Tucker - well Tucker was actually crying as I drove off down the track waving bye to everyone - proper whimpers!!! He LOVED the whole experience. He bounded out the car and was led straight down to the water by his big sis! I think he got so many kisses and cuddles that he nearly stopped demanding them! He got so many complements and praise that Luna thinks his head has got even bigger than it was! He helped Ebble and Mouse clean up the BBQ, did a few tunnels and jumps and had a darn good hooly!!!
Oh and did I mention that that was the first training he has ever been known to do??????!!!! And he CAN walk to heel, he CAN stay, he CAN recall, he CAN mark a dummy, he CAN pick up and return with dummy, he CAN find a blind (and/or dummy he dropped earlier!), he CAN hold a dummy ... so let's see just how many bad habits I can instil in him before next year!!!
People say that he is a lucky Tucker but I really do believe that it is Luna and I who are the lucky girlies!
Thank you so much to Becs and Helen. Gary, Al and the other BBQ cooking people! Thanks to the ever informative and professional (and forgiving!) trainers, I've come away with lots of reminders on how to do things with a dog who is fresh and ready and eager! And thanks to everyone else who ran scurries, threw dummies, sorted raffles etc, etc.
We had a fantastic time with the people in Group 1 - there were so many little stars in that group, All doing their handlers proud!
Thanks so much to fellow campers especially GNOME and poor suffering Jet! Luna discovered a love of jumping the 3ft netting boundary around my tent whenever she heard Gnome unzip her awning so poor Jet's personal space was very much invaded by 2 loopy, over-excited pooches stealing his balls and Sheepy whenever he least expected it! My tent went up in half the time with Gnome's help and the tea supplied by Andy, Kath and Gnome kept me hydrated! Thanks for the company, food, drinks, ball-throwing and laughs, Vanessa and Jet!
Can't wait until next year!
And WOW! What a total!
And hope the ankle is ok Bernie?? xx
