Hi janice, there are a few extra hoo's and haa's and 'do you mind if I don'ts' to this like most things. But yes the reason its preftty amicable at the moment IS because the breeders have been kept informed literally from minute one. The darn thing is no talk of insurance was made then, just concern for the puppy and 'I'll keep you posted' probably because the owner thought she was covered, and the breeder either hadn't thought to ask or had asked but decided to keep quiet (I don't know...) that the KC one hadn't been activated in time. They activated it minutes after the first call about the puppy being ill, but, no, nothing was said to the owner about that not being good enough at the time. And no, it wasn't good enough but the breeders say they didn't know that.
This is a case of bad things happening to good people. Whether the pup was poorly before being taken home I don't know. I have heard nothing negative about any of the others leaving that weekend. Nice pictures of one another and a glowing report. So who knows... I do know the people had a decent pic of puppies so if the pup had been poorly lethargic or shooting out loose poo it wouldn't have been the one they picked, there were plenty of others to choose from.
All quiet today. ;-(
