Having to split my two up occasionally so Luna could rest, Tucker could socialise, oh and so Luna could run courses meant that they were ever-so-pleased to see each other and began to show me just how much fun owning two playful pups can be!! They gave me LOTS of 'ENOUGH!!!!!!' training!
Anyway, Luna was tired. Camping, new venue, Tucker adjusting to campsite noises on Fri night, PLAYING and the sun coming out just as the little pure black lab had to run meant she was on a go slow most of the weekend UNLESS teasing Tucker to chase her around the exercise area!! Oh and of course meeting Lizzie and Bamber, and Sarah and Lizzie (who she really liked!!) was exciting too!!
Primary Agility was a nice flowing course, she went slow and CLEAR - good start, 10th place.
Intro Jumping had a bit of a tricky bit which I think we handled pretty well - but I was well ahead of her and doing lots of encouraging-she was going slow! CLEAR in 24th place.
Primary TFO - DISASTER! 4 jumps in a row so I think I'll call her over them all before turning but I DIDN'T! I called her after 3 and then assumed she was committed to the 4th jump but she wasn't and so we were faulted for a refusal, the whistle blew and we had the whole diagonal to run to the finish jump! Still finished 17th!
Introductory Up n Under - back on track with this one, ran CLEAR and slow finishing 29th.
Had a peaceful night in the tent as both dogs were pooped! Woke up cold so added 2 little labrador hot water bottles under the duvet and all was well!
Primary Agility - Luna was distracted from weaving so popped out gaining us 5faults - 16th place
Introductory Jumping - a nice flowing course that Luna would've flown had the conditions been better (ie the cool of 9pm at night!) which she ran CLEAR but slow - 38th!!!
Primary Triple A Agility - CLEAR, probably the best run of the weekend as it had rained and was cooler She still looked pretty tired unless heading for the A'Frame trap meaning loud shouting from me! Finished 6th place!
Introductory Tunnel Torment - AVOID the gaping wide, inviting tunnels Luna!!! That WAS the idea! Oh, and the photographer doesn't need to get a pic of you smiling close up! After she'd done a tunnel she avoided the rest and did run quicker in the rain but obviously we'd been E'd! This was quite a tricky one to handle and despite the blip the rest she worked REALLY well! I am asking her to do things that I don't expect her to do and she CAN!!! Really chuffed!
So the league positions are looking pretty - our next/last comp of the 'year' is Aug Bank Hol!
Primary Agility: 12th
Introductory Jumping: 29th
Gundog League: 13th
Primary Medium Dog of the Year: 11th
Oh and Tucker was obviously very proud of his big sis' despite not helping her chill out between runs!
Luna: Don't know why you're looking so proud Big 'Ead, I won 'em!
Tucker did a gentle bit of weaving in the garden this afternoon and a 15second sit STAY! I am SO looking forward to learning to handle him around a course, he has a fantastic turn of speed!

Well done Luna
Tucker does look very proud of Luna's rosettes... perhaps he thought he'd won them :/ either that or he's just extremely proud of his clever sister!

LMAO, think you`ll have to find a way to keep them separate between runs Laura , maybe once Tucker starts agility he`ll be too tired after his run to be bothered with Luna.
Good results and your right tucker does look proud with those rosettes even if they aren`t his

Congratulations on all the clears and the pretty rosettes
Maybe they'll have calmed down a bit before the August bank holiday......
