Hope you enjoy this video I've put together from monday night's flyball training session!

My OH came to training with us and video-ed us and then I had some fun with the editing!

Enjoy!

Excellent!

I'll have to get OH to take some pics of Coco doing flyball. Your sessions look so much calmer than ours. Coco is like a coiled spring raring to go but I usually end up chasing her round, trying to bribe her to give up the ball. We're not allowed to train flyball on our temporary agility field now because we make too much noise Embarassed The neighbours complained about both dogs and handlers being too loud Cool

That was great Annie, you can see Tiber love it and is raring to go Very Happy, I thought the ball popped out of the machine and the dog was supposed to catch it, don`t they do that any more?

I was told that the ball is no longer thrown out of the box due to the risk of injuries by the dogs jumping to catch it.

The boxes are still spring loaded but the balls don't come out with any force when released, they don't do much more than roll down the front of the box - not that the dogs give them chance to leave the hole in the box before grabbing them.

thanks guys! glad you liked the video!

flyball is certainly noisy - the collies get really excited and very barky - tiber doesn't bark but just wants to get over these hurdles, get the ball and get back to me (his reward is me to play with him with the ball that he brings - its what works for us!)

Hope to do some starter competitions in the not to distant future! Got a harness (thanks to laura for the recommendation) as i don't like using tiber's collar to hold him back for obvious reasons! He looks so smart!

its was lovely to see what he looks like doing flyball from a different angle - i just see the rear and the front end from my handlers view and have no idea what hes doing at the box - i didn't even realise the first time he took it from the launcher until half way through that session!

That's just it with flyball and agility - you don't see what you/your dog are doing and I think videos are a great training aid. We don't have a digital video camera and OH's phone videos won't transfer for some reason so we just get stills. Now OH has a decent camera I will be recruiting him to take some pics.
