I use one of those gloves when they are in a mucky state and need a wash!

I use a double comb, one of the comb sections moves as you comb if you know what I mean. Its the best I've ever had. Gathers all the hair with the least amount of mess.

I have tried the furminator too, but it's not great for Barney as he seems to lose so much of the coarser hair ALL YEAR ROUND Confused He seems to be in permanent moult. I bought a cheap (£6 ish) double backed plastic and metal "bristle" brush from PAH and its great!
