After going on my first GT in another area, Thanks Niksyg, i thought i might try and organise one myself closer to home.

I am in Yeovil and had Ham Hill in mind as a destination but am open to suggestions if anyone is interested and has other ideas. Not sure if there are many local but it's worth a try.

Fairly flexible on dates too, although i guess weekends are easier for most, i'll leave it open for now although i am away for a week at the end of August so can't do then.

I forgot to mention, to those that don't know Ham Hill it is very dog friendly loads of free parking and a dog friendly pub in the middle.

Me and Bran might be up for this one Very Happy

It's about an hour away from Brizzle, but might be do-able depending upon the day/date Very Happy

I want to get a few more weekends away in the caravan - have got quite few dates booked for non-fun things so if it is not one of them would some pseudo-labs be allowed to come along please?

We would be, if the date's right. We're only about 12 miles east of Yeovil.

If it fits with when LFers are down for gundog day then we might be able to make it!! 12th, 14th, 15th August...

PP and Tucker were going to try and meet up somewhere on the afternoon of Sun 14th though we were thinking somewhere slightly more east as PP is that way .....

Thanks for the responses, there is no water at Ham Hill so if anyone wants to suggest another location i am more than happy to visit new places. We do have a near by walk with water but it's Yeovil country park and it's not massive and is quite busy and close to town.

As for dates i am fairly flexible, (except my holiday at the end of the month), i assume weekends are preferable for most?

So we have a choice of 13-14, 20-21 August or 3-4th sept when it may be cooler during the day for the dogs.

Depending on the date we may come along - a fair trek but I think it'd be worth it! So, when a date has been decided I'll either opt in our out - given that we are fairly far away I won't get involved in the date choosing, think we'll just try to fit in with others! Smile
