It is still early days (five!) but it already feels like he has been here forever!
Watching Luna and Tucker learn from each other and develop their relationship is fascinating! Today Tucker has allowed Luna to carry her own toys whilst Luna has encouraged her little brother to join her in jumping on my head to wake me this morning and demand their dinner this evenng. I sense as these two bond more and more I am going to find them in more and more mischief!
They have met lots of neighbours and strangers and dogs today and gained a lot of praise for their lovely temperaments, good behaviour, playful smiles, good weights and snuggly fleece harnesses! No-one has believed that Tucker is a rescue only home for a few days!
I am exceeding lucky to have found such a fantastic boy to join our family (thanks Sarah!) but he isn't the only fantastic dog stuck in a rescue through no fault of his/her own!
Today, I have seen Tucker contradicting some of the ideas people have of 'Rescue dogs', I have seen many, many dogs at agility doing the same and seeing the rescued woofers on here gave me the confidence to rehome Tucker!
SO thank you LF, Sarah, Lizzie's Barn and all you LF rescued pooches, you can take some credit for my great day! (Luna and Tucker get some credit too you see ) And I hope that Tucker can join the other LF woofers who help to encourage potential dog owners to find a suitable rescue xx
And of course thank you to all the Rescues out there who give so many woofers a second/third/fourth/... chance of having a happy home xx
I'll let Tucker be the advocate, he does it better than me! And there are soooo many people on here that do sooo much for rescues that helping one little pup out is just a tiny weeny teeny drop in the ocean compared to their efforts!
What a lovely e-mail I can totally support you about the fantastic work that the rescues do to rehome all the lovely woofers that they do. As with out them I wouldn't have the lovely Miss Ellie in our family.
The last five days have flown over with Ellie - she is settling in nicely and bahaving like a 6 month old pup should.
You can see that they are bonding really well and look very smart in their harnesses.
I think I shall be getting Ellie a safestix and some point as they look fun.
