Thanks Di, I know. Just planning on the if, rather than the will. If you know what I mean. As I said, I like to be prepared.

I'm happy to keep 2, 3 is a stretch, the fourth has in the last hour just gone. We allowed one to go to his new home this morning, and the daughter of the lady taking that one has called and asked whether they can have Mr Orange from the litter.

We have another going tomorrow when they get back from the CLA fair, and they again are talking about 2 of the pups. One for Mum and on for daughter. If that is the case, we will be left with the 2, one boy and one girl, of which we will keep them both. I need to get my FTCH from somewhere.

Milo had the Suprelorin (chem castration) on 6th June (he was just over 1yr), there are some horror stories about it (you'll find a thread on here if you do a search), but nearly 7 weeks down the line and he's fine, plums have shrunk as expected, not as much 'gunk' from his lipstick...possibly slightly more nervous/jumpy, but he was very confident before, he very rarely barks but just lately he's had the odd bark if he thinks there's someone outside or a noise shocks him, and his recall has improved (he'd disappear after catching a scent before). As for if it would actually work if he did the business, hoping we don't ever have that situation so can't say it's worked 100%!

Oh and forgot to say...was told it takes 1-2 months to become effective, and lasts between 6-18 months, have been told to become familiar with his plums as when they increase in size it will be wearing off!

Thanks Loubie. So 1 to 2 months his plums become prunes, and then 6 to 18 months they rehydrate back to plums.

Have read Helen's thread, and I must agree a bit of a worry. So I think we will look at this again in the future if we do end up with a boy.

Sam also had the suprelorin, about 6/7 weeks ago now (couldn't have a GA so surgical route a no-no for him) and its made absolutely no difference to him whatsoever! Not that I wanted it to, I didn't so that's absolutely fine. Smile He did have to have a small dose of mild sedative to have it as he saw the needle and went 'erm no way are you sticking that in me' well it was rather large! Laughing

Hope they all find homes anyway. Smile

Exactly Martin, although a neighbour of mine had her show doberman done twice in a row and ended up with currants! Laughing
