Do you know I am actually surprised at this Nikki. The Kennel Club have always accepted copies of certificates that I have sent in for Sire's of my litters and obviously I don't own them.
In fact, for Rusti's litter they were short of some of the health tests on the sire and I scanned and sent them through and they accepted them. I did the same on Morse's litter and on the present litter I have here.
I really can't see the difference between that and them accepting a scan of the CNM certificate you have for Sunni?? If they won't the only alternatives you have are to trace Sunni's breeder or to CNM test Sunni sadly.
So yes John I have actually changed the health status of other people's dogs!!
Thanks for that Jill. I'm going to contact the KC again and ask why they won't accept the CNM certificate I have for Sunni's Sire when they obviously do and have accepted copy certificates for similiar scenario's. Surely they must be able to check the CNM database anyway to clarify results? I don't see why I should have to CNM test Sunni when I know full well he is hereditary clear.

Apparently Sunni will not show as clear until the Sire's results are put onto the system and although I have the relevant CNM database registration number and copy of the certificate for his Sire, the actual owners of his Sire must send in a copy of the test result to the KC.
When I advertised my first litter on the KC website, I put "PRA CBP" on the advert - within about 5 minutes of my submitting the advert - the KC were on the phone - telling they were removing it from the advert.
This was in the very early days before PRA results were automatically added to the database.
Fortunately, I had copies of both parents PRA results - I checked with the stud owner I had her permission to submit it to the KC and she agreed - and I faxed both copies over to them which they accepted.
Unfortunately - if you don't have a copy of the CNM result for the sire, and can't get the sire's owners to fax a copy over, you don't have a hope in hells chance of them being registered "Hereditarly clear"
I had to break this news to another member who was advertising their dog as PRA CBP - in their case, they were able to get the dog tested at the "Hereditarily clear" rate by Optigen - which saved a fair chunk of money - but it was still a bit unfair
Similarly, I had to do the same with my boy Zac (Who we later rehomed) - as neither of his parents results were on the database - but Optigen had them on theirs.
It might be worth checking with AHT if they offer a similar discounted scheme for offspring where both parents have been tested clear by them.
I know I had to manually send all my CNM results to the KC for my gang
Sorry the news isn't better - but unless it is on his records, technically, you shouldn't really be advertising him at such if, for example, he was used at stud because the litter couldn't be registered accordingly

Really annoyed about this
OK - posted before I saw this - I submitted both Hally's and Ollie's PRA results when I registered my litter and they accepted them without question - maybe things have changed in the last 4 years I don't know - I had copies of the emails direct from Optigen as well which I was able to submit - don't know if that makes a difference
Hope you sort it out - I really do think it is a bit unfair at this stage that they won't accept it - as I said - in my case - they weren't at that point automatically taking the PRA results

But I DO have a copy of the CNM result certificate for the Sire therefore the KC should accept this from me. You've said yourself you've been able to send in copy certificates to the KC and they've been accepted. Its totally unfair for them to quite happily accept copy certificates from some people and then refuse to accept them from others!
